THE FIRM

 

Christopher Hore, Chartered Engineers, has been providing consultancy services to clients in East Kent since 1994. Christopher started his career after graduating from Cambridge University in 1976 working on site with large civil engineering projects both oversees and in the UK. After a few years he joined the Folkestone based consultancy, J A Tonks and Associates, soon becoming a partner, and when this practice dissolved set up a business on his own.

UCF – UNIVERSITY CENTRE FOLKESTONE

 

Conversion of old buildings and new construction on the former Folkestone Glassworks site.

MARINE PARADE, HYTHE

 

Additional storey on a flat roof house. The old roof was kept until the new roof was complete allowing the house to be lived in during the work.

 

Self build project for a private client.

During construction – difficult access required a long reach crane for erecting steel work

Extensive improvements to former Chartham Mills Social Club including a new roof.
